"Fine flavored carrot does well as a bunching carrot and also as a storage carrot. It grows 6-8†long and is practically corless. Plant: Direct sow the tiny seeds 1/4†deep and firm soil lightly after seedings. Make sure the seed are only just buried. Harvest: Carrots can be harvested at any size, but flavor is best when the carrots have turned bright orange."

Picking fresh peas from your garden is always a treat. They are a good source of iron and an excellent source of vitamin C. Approximately 5 seeds / gram.
Hints:
Plant seeds early in spring as soon as the soil can be prepared.
Sow seeds 2-3 cm apart and 2 cm deep.
Do not thin plants.
For best results, harvest in early summer or fall when peas enlarge pods.
A 6 metre row of plants will yield approximately 5 kg of pods.
Green Arrow
- Pods are 10 cm [4"] long, set high on the vine for easy picking with 9-11 sweet flavoured peas per pod. High yielding, strong vines are primarily double podded and resistant to downy mildew as well as fusarium wilt. Grows to 70 cm [28"] tall. Recommended for freezing.

Radishes grow best in the spring or late summer. They do not like hot weather. For quality yields, radishes should be grown rapidly with plenty of moisture. Approximately 80 seeds/gram.
Hints:
Sow seed 1 cm apart and 1 cm deep in rows 30 cm apart.
Thin to 2 to 4 cm apart.
Sow several times at weekly intervals until early summer for a contiuous fresh supply.
Try sowing with other vegetables to help mark row.

Spinach is a good source of vitamins A and C and an excellent source of Iron and Fibre.
Hints:
Sow 1 cm [1/2"] deep in rows 60 cm [24"] apart.
Thin to 7-15 cm [3-6"] apart.
Spinach prefers cool moist weather. Warm weather can hasten bolting.
Add mulch to keep soil moist.
Bloomsdale [Longstanding]
- Plant vigorous, erect, compact and uniform. Leaves very thick, medium large with curved tips. Deeply savoyed with rich dark glossy green colour. Tender and of excellent quality. Stands several days in hot weather before bolting. Recommended for freezing.
